How to Choose a lubricant
Lubes come in a variety of types:
- silicone
- oil
- hybrid, are a combination of both water and silicone formulas.
Water-based
The most common lubricants are water-based and can be used for almost any silicone toy activity. Both latex and non-latex condoms can be used with it without risk. Three factors make water-based lubes the most popular: they are gentle on the skin, they wash off easily in water, and they won't leave stains on your sheets.
Silicone-based
Because silicone is hypoallergenic, it lasts longer and requires fewer reapplications. The drawback is that silicone lube can cause silicone toys' surfaces to deteriorate.
Oil-based
An experienced user may prefer oil-based lubes. It is not advised to use oil-based lubricants with latex condoms. Additionally, using this kind of lube raises the possibility of a torn or ripped condom. Clothing and sheets are often stained by oil-based lubricants. and can be challenging to clean up.
Natural lube:
A growing number of people are using natural lubricants. If this kind of product is what you're looking for, look at the ingredients list.
